  • How is Eye-White surgery performed?
  • This minimally invasive procedure is performed in our office. Each patient will be given a combination of topical and local anesthesia. The numbing drops may sting some, however, the procedure will be virtually painless. The thin conjunctiva membrane on either side of the iris (color part of your eye) will either be modified or removed to restore the eye to a whiter, more youthful appearance. There are no stitches used when removing this thin membrane. Eye drops will be instilled to prevent infection, promote proper healing, and prohibit re-growth of blood vessels. If both eyes require treatment, they would be performed on the same day. No patching is required.
